How Secularism Leads Us Astray

Have you ever noticed how secularism leads us astray? The Theory of Evolution, published as "On the Origin of Species" was introduced in 1859. In no way does it disprove the existence of God, and doesn't really try to explain how life arose from inanimate matter, but it became widely popular as the intellectual foundation of life without God.

But this changed our whole way of thinking in ways that have led us astray.

After the end of the First World War the Austro-Hungarian Empire was broken up. Two new nations were created, Czechoslovakia in the north and Yugoslavia in the south. Both of these nations were created by the victorious Allied powers in the war. Neither nation would last indefinitely, both coming apart in the 1990s.

But their ends would be very different. Even in the secular late Twentieth Century the primary difference would be based on historical religion.

Czechoslovakia was compromised of Czechs and Slovaks. Both had been historically Catholic. The breakup of Czechoslovakia was completely peaceful, and became known as the "Velvet Divorce".

Yugoslavia broke apart too, but the breakup was far from peaceful. Europe was horrified that organized massacres and the shelling of besieged cities was going on here.

How could the endings of Czechoslovakia and Yugoslavia possibly have been so different? What about, of all things, religion?

The two primary ethnic groups comprising Czechoslovakia were both historically Catholic. But Yugoslavia was compromised of historically Catholic Croatians and Slovenes, historically Orthodox Serbs and Montenegrins and, largely Moslem Bosnians.

The breakup of Yugoslavia was a multi-faceted conflict. But every one of the conflicts was between sides of different historic religions. Combat between Catholic Croatians and Slovenes and Orthodox Serbs, some combat between Croatians and Moslem Bosnians and, worst of all, between Serbs and Bosnians.

Later in the conflict the autonomous region of Serbia known as Kosovo, which was predominantly Moslem, would attempt to separate from Serbia. The only two Yugoslav republics that would remain federated throughout were Serbia and Montenegro, both of which are historically Orthodox by religion.

The only republic that separated peacefully was North Macedonia. That also follows the historic religious pattern. Like Serbia it was primarily Orthodox but it's church had earlier separated from the Serbian church.

This deadly conflict was 100% along the lines of historic religion. But why was Yugoslavia put together as it was in the first place? Serbia had not been part of the Austrian-Hungarian Empire but was included as the core republic of Yugoslavia.

Could it be that the secular mentality that was brought about by evolutionary theory caused those in the victorious Allied powers to disregard how important religion was? Religion was rarely mentioned in the news of the breakup of Yugoslavia, other than pointing out that Bosniaks were primarily Moslem, but the multi-faceted conflict was entirely along historic religious lines.

The other great empire which was broken up after the First World War was that of the Ottomans. As in Europe, new nations were created out of it's former territories. A new nation was created called Iraq, centered on the historic city of Baghdad.

But, as in Europe, the secular mentality caused religion to be ignored. Sunni and Shiite Moslems, as well as an ethnic mix of Arabs and Kurds, were packaged together in one nation.

Such a new mixed nation needs an extended period under a strong leader to hold it together, what I refer to as the Strong Leader Binding Phase. In Yugoslavia this strong leader was Josip Broz Tito who was, by the way, a very good leader. The best known of the strong leaders of Iraq war Saddam Hussein. But, as we can see, the country fractures along religious lines when the strong leader dies or is removed.

Once again, the secular mentality led the victorious Allies to put together a country that ignored religious lines.

Humans are designed to believe in something. When we do not believe strongly in God we just make something else into our "religion". How many people have you known who treat their economic or political ideology like a religion?

In 1929 the global economy crashed, beginning in New York. The primary reasons were over-speculation and workers not being paid enough to be able to buy all of the goods that were being produced by the industrial complex that had been built up during the First World War.

Unlike Donald Trump in 2020, U.S. President Herbert Hoover did essentially nothing to support the economy, it being against his Republican ideology of "laissez-faire", leaving the economy alone. The resulting Great Depression was almost certainly the worst time in modern history, as it directly led to the Second World War. A party called the Nazis got the idea of absorbing unemployment by drastically increasing the armed forces and getting factories back to full production making military equipment for them.

With humans being designed to believe in something, ideologies like Nazism and Communism thrived by giving people who no longer believed in God something to believe in.

If it were true that we "evolved" without God then a human being is nothing more than a bundle of molecules that just happened to bounce together by random chance. If a person is really just a bunch of molecules, then what is really so bad about killing them?

Finally see if you can believe this. After the Theory of Evolution was introduced there were people who thought that wars were primarily religious in nature and that secularism would be a wonderful thing because it would end wars.

Special Annoucement

Come on, this is happening for a reason.

We tend to put our faith in this world of ours but God is giving us a chance to see how fragile it really is. We should be putting our faith in God instead, who has control over things against which the world is helpless.

If you are isolated because of this, now is your chance to talk to God. He is listening. Now is the chance to begin reading the Bible. It is best to start with the New Testament. I suggest reading the Gospels of Mark, Luke and, John first. The Gospel of Matthew is the longest and the first chapter is the list of genealogy.

Please respect medical personnel and authority figures during this crisis. They are not having an easy time either. Many of the best people go into the medical field. An outstanding girl that I once attended community college with is now a nurse. The only trouble with her being a nurse is that the guys she treats in hospital might not want to go home.

Has anyone noticed the connections here?

The two previous events that come to mind are the Bubonic Plague, of medieval and early modern times, and the Spanish Flu of 1918.

In 1666 modern science began when Sir Isaac Newton, home because Cambridge University was closed due to the plague, was, according to legend, struck by an apple falling from a tree. He noticed what no one had ever pointed out before that the universe, on a large scale, was governed by the force of gravity.

Long before, according to the Bible, another fall involving a fruit had taken place. Adam and Eve had fallen from God's favor by eating the Forbidden Fruit.

From the modern science that began with the fall of that apple would come the Theory of Evolution. Although it in no way disproves that we were created by God, and doesn't really try to explain how life began from inanimate matter, many who did not want to believe in God used this as their intellectual foundation.

The decline in faith in God would ultimately lead to the rise of the Antichrist. The number of the Antichrist will be 666. The fall of the apple took place in 1666.

In the Gospels, Jesus foretold that the restoration of Jerusalem to the Jews would begin the countdown of the return of Jesus, to set up His Millennial Kingdom on earth, within the lifetime of those who witnessed the return of Jerusalem to Jewish control. Jesus also foretold, in the same speech, that there would be "pestilences", the old word for contagious disease, during those "Last Days".

The name of the present virus is Covid-19. King David was Israel's king who founded Jerusalem as it's capital. The nation of Israel was reestablished in 1948, after nearly two thousand years of exile, in 1948. But there was a 19-year delay before the original Jerusalem of David was rejoined in 1967.

The virus is generally known as the "Coronavirus". Corona means "crown". Jesus was asked if He was a king during His trial and crowned with a crown of thorns during His crucifixion.

In the Book of Revelation 6:2, a crown is given to the "rider on the White Horse who will rule over the world during the Tribulation Period, this is the Antichrist. Revelation 19:12 describes Jesus "wearing many crowns" upon His return to earth.

The "pestilences" in the "Last Days will take place at the same time as wars, all a part of the Tribulation Period. Corona is a Spanish word. The Spanish Flu took place while the First World War was still going on, and probably killed more people than the war.

Proof That Both Space And Matter Are Composed Of Electric Charges

In my cosmology theory, both space and matter are composed of negative and positive electric charges. Opposite charges attract and like charges repel so the lowest energy state is an alternating checkerboard of charges, in multiple dimensions. Like charges, which naturally repel, can be held together by energy, and this is what forms matter and why matter is composed of charged particles like electrons and protons.

The cosmology theory is described in the compound posting on this blog, "The Theory Of Stationary Space".

The energy that holds like charges together to form matter is the well-known Mass-Energy Equivalence. It is this innate energy in matter that is described by Einstein's formula E=MC squared, Energy equals mass times the speed of light squared.

Another theory, my information theory described in the compound posting "The Theory Of Complexity", explains how energy and information is really the same thing because we cannot add information to anything without applying energy to it, and we cannot apply energy to anything without adding information to it.

Another way we can see energy and information as really the same thing is in how we can make our lives physically easier through technology, but only at the expense of making them more complex. We can never, on a large scale, make our lives physically easier and also less complex.

A surface area is information, and thus energy. This is why the default gravitational form of matter in the universe is a sphere. We know that the universe always seeks the lowest energy state and a sphere has the lowest surface area per volume of all geometric forms.

Notice that drops of water in a sink merge to form larger drops. The larger drop has less surface area and also less information of position than the smaller drops that composed it. But this must mean that it has less energy than the drops that composed it, although no energy was released when the drops merged. How can this be? We know that energy can never be lost or destroyed, but only changed in form.

But consider what water is. A molecule of water, one oxygen and two hydrogen atoms, is polar. This means that one side of the molecule is more negatively-charged, and the other more positive. The water molecules thus line up negative-to-positive. This is known as hydrogen bonding.

When the smaller drops merged into the larger one, it increased the number of electric bonds. There must be energy in these bonds, and that is why no energy was released.

Now let's consider space. A higher orbit contains higher energy. If we give a satellite three times the orbital energy, it will orbit at nine times the altitude but move at only one-third the speed. This is because of the Inverse Square Law.

The energy in the orbit depends on the area of space within it, as Kepler's Law states that a line between the satellite and the center of gravity will sweep over equal areas of space in equal periods of time. Remember that surface area represents energy. This must mean that space is also energy.

But if space is energy, because a higher orbit has higher energy, then space must be "something", it cannot be "nothing". This is also seen in Einstein's "Frame Dragging", or the "Lense-Thirring Effect. The rotation of the earth actually pulls space around it, as if space was a fabric.

The conclusion is clear. Space consists of electric charges. That is why electromagnetic waves are so-called. Light and radio waves disturb the underlying balance of electric charges in space so that they appear electromagnetic.

This also explains why shorter wavelengths of electromagnetic waves are of higher energy, there is more overall displacement of the underlying electric charges of space. If space was "nothing" then it wouldn't involve energy like this.

But if space is alternating electric charges, in multiple dimensions, that balance out, then what about matter? A clue is in matter-antimatter reactions. When the two are brought together, they both disappear in a great burst of energy. Antimatter is like matter, but with the electric charges reversed so that positively-charged positrons are in orbitals around negatively-charged antiprotons.

What is happening can be explained very simply. Remember the principal in physics known as Occam's Razor, that the simplest explanation is usually the best explanation. The electric charges that composed the matter and antimatter rearranges back into the alternating charges of empty space, and the energy that held them together, against the mutual repulsion of like charges, is released.
