Don't forget how we saw that using the way information works could revolutionize weather forecasting.
Everything that governs the weather is cyclical. This includes the rising and falling of water, the flow of air from high to low pressure, circular storms and, the seasons.
But this means that unless we are dealing with an infinite amount of information, which we aren't, the weather patterns must repeat themselves. New weather patterns cannot go on forever if the information that we are dealing with is limited in any way.
So if we can identify a full length of the Weather Cycle, since weather has long been recorded, we can see what the upcoming weather will be, since the cycle is repetitive.
There are, of course, other factors involved. There is weather on the sun that affects the weather on earth. But that is also cyclical, sunspots operate on a cycle of eleven years.
There is also a linear factor that affects the weather, namely global warming. But even so, identifying the Weather Cycle would be revolutionary for forecasting.
