Apocalyptic Developments

This is in regard to the parallel postings "The End Of The World As We Know It" and "Inducing The Apocalypse", both June 2025.

We saw in section 8) SOLAR STORMS of"The End Of The World As We Know It" the possibility of a massive solar storm shutting down the electronics on earth as a possible part of the Tribulation. This week, thousands of Airbus planes had to be given software updates because of cosmic rays causing distortions. This is not the same thing as a solar storm but it shows how the more delicate and minituarized chips nowadays are also much more vulnerable to effects like this from space. This was not much of a factor with the cruder and simpler electronics of decades ago. What if there should be a massive solar storm, like the one in 1859?

Nuclear testing used to alarm the world but the U.S. and Russia have long since discontinued testing. But now both are discussing resuming it. We know that the Antichrist will be the greatest leader that the world has ever seen. Maybe it will alarm the world enough to prompt it to rally around a leader who can get control of the international situation before something catastrophic happens.

The military leader of NATO, an Italian admiral, this week presented the possibility of pre-emptive strikes against Russia. Vladimir Putin made it clear that Russia is ready for war with Europe.

Donald Trump has completely taken over negotiations with Russia over Ukraine. Even though Ukraine is in Europe, his attitude seems to be that Europeans are just a bunch of small and middle countries and they should just get out of his way and let the great leaders handle it. We know that the Antichrist will be from Europe and this might prompt the Europeans to come up with a great leader of their own.

A number of nations are introducing security or all-purpose apps that are mandatory on phones in that country, or that is practically essential for most people. Examples are Russia's MAX and China's WeChat. India announced that all new phones must come with a state-controlled security app called Sanchar Saathi, but then announced that it would be optional. I have long thought that the fabled "Mark of the Beast", that will be necessary to conduct business is actually phones, as explained in "The End Of The World As We Know It", and this shows how it would work. People get completely dependent on the Internet but then the government has control over it. We can see governments exercising their control over the Internet with such things as bans on social media for those under a certain age.

On the subject of the "Mark of the Beast", digital wallets are continuing to be the way that people buy and handle money, replacing traditional wallets.

UNDERWATER DRONES

In a very perilous development this week, Ukraine successfully used underwater drones against Russian ships in the Black Sea. Most of the attention goes to the development of aerial drones. But underwater drones are a dire threat to ships all over the world.

Submarines can torpedo ships but few nations have the capacity to maintain submarine fleets that can be a force globally. Submarines today tend to be nuclear-powered and are focused on striking land targets, including with nuclear missiles, rather than giving their position away by launching torpedoes at ships. Ships can be attacked with missiles or motorboat drones, but these can be easily detected and defensive action taken. Anti-ship missiles are costly, as well as the required infrastructure.

Underwater drones are inexpensive and are a threat to the ships that the world is dependent on. The globalized economy has made it so that many nations are absolutely dependent on importing and exporting to survive. How many nations produce enough food to survive if they were cut off from importing and exporting by ship?

The strong point of drones is, as always, simply how inexpensive and easy to make they are. Aerial drones can be shot down by missiles. The trouble is that the drones might cost a few thousand dollars each while the missiles that shoot them down cost a million dollars each. Lasers are being developed that can shoot down aerial drones, but that can't be done with underwater drones.

Underwater drones would require a boat to get them relatively near the target then, if a dozen were launched, some would be virtually sure to get through. The threat of underwater drones would make insuring the ships, on which the world is dependent, prohibitively expensive.

This is at least as much a peril to the world as aerial drones.
