Apocalyptic Developments

This refers to the scenario that we saw in "The End Of The World As We Know It" and the companion posting "Inducing The Apocalypse", both June 2025.

The meeting in Alaska had Donald Trump practically endorsing Vladimir Putin and his war in Ukraine. What are Europeans, who support Ukraine, to think of this major disappointment? We know that the Antichrist will be a great leader that will emerge from a unified Europe. What Europeans could do is to join closer together under their own leader, who could deal with Putin and Trump. This meeting, in the far north, is very reminiscent of another such meeting in the far north, the 1986 summit between Ronald Reagan and Mikhail Gorbachev. It also had a disappointing conclusion, as the two failed to reach an agreement on arms control. It also acted as a catalyst for the European Union as Europeans generally resented having their futures decided for them, over their heads, by an American and a Russian. A few years later, the Maastricht Agreement created the European Union as it is today.

Donald Trump is certainly setting the precedent for the Antichrist, who will seem to be the greatest leader that the world has ever seen. He claims to have ended any number of recent wars and conflicts and has made it clear that he deserves a Nobel Prize. Look at how European leaders praised Donald Trump at the White House. We know that "ten kings" will hand over their power to the Antichrist, and that he must be from a unified Europe. There was no democracy as we know it in biblical times, and no words for "president" or "prime minister". The European leaders praising Donald Trump at the White House is a precedent for them handing over their power to the Antichrist.

The continued slaughter of Gazans waiting in line for food is a very pressing reason for a great leader to emerge who can bring order back to the world, since Donald Trump has not ended this war either.

But yet Donald Trump's tariffs are helping to promote a more closely connected world, ready for the Antichrist but without the U.S. The tariffs are prompting nations, other than the U.S., to cooperate more with each other. We see this in the recent rapprochement between India and China.

A powerful reason for the surveillance society that we know the Antichrist will have is social media. When a country wanted to commit espionage in another country it used to require dispatching secret agents. Today it is not difficult to recruit people, in the target country, by either payment or persuasion. This makes it more necessary to be able to monitor and keep track of everyone. 

The Antichrist will be the greatest dictator that the world has ever seen. This means that democracy cannot be the effective predominant system in the world. Although it doesn't mean that democracy will disappear altogether because the Antichrist will take power by the will of the people. It seemed like 1989 was the triumph of democracy but now we can see that it was the peak of democracy, with a slow decline in democracy ever since then. ICE is America's incarnation of the Gestapo and the "Alligator Alcatraz", in Florida, is like Guantanamo Bay being moved onto American soil. Britain's recent arrest of hundreds of people, for a peaceful demonstration, is excessive for a country that has long stood for democracy, and the right to peaceful demonstration.

The Apocalypse will require a lot of armaments. Many countries have recently announced a major increase in arms production. Aside from the war in Ukraine, there is an economic reason for it. AI will possibly put millions of people out of work. The old standby for dealing with unemployment is to get people working producing armaments and, in severe cases, absorbing unemployment by expanding the armed forces.
