Apocalyptic Developments

This is about the scenario that we saw in the postings "The End Of The World As We Know It" and "Inducing The Apocalypse", both June 2025.

Earthquakes were foretold by Jesus to be a prominent occurrence in the Last Days of the world. There was a devastating earthquake in Afghanistan this week.

What is so dangerous about these wars is that we are in a new era of technology and the wars in Ukraine and the Middle East are working out the latest in technology and tactics. It typically takes time for a new technology to be perfected in a real-world environment, and these wars are accomplishing that. Now there is the latest in drone warfare, UAVs or Unmanned Armored Vehicles, being used in the Ukraine war.

We might hope that, after the end of a war, we would be tired of war and glad to have peace. But it doesn't work that way. First, the weapons that are left over from the war find their way all over the world. This is why the world is so awash in weapons. Second, after a protracted war there are former soldiers who have been separated from civilian life and have learned a new trade. There is always a global market for mercenaries. Russia makes extensive use of mercenaries and there was a lineup of people offering to fight for Ukraine.

The Antichrist will be the greatest dictator that the world has ever seen. So we should expect for there to be a decline in global democracy, but not the end of democracy because the Antichrist will certainly take power by the will of the people. It was thought that the end of the Berlin Wall, in 1989, was the ultimate triumph of democracy. But now we see that it was actually the peak of democracy and it has been in slow decline ever since. Britain has long stood for democracy as much as any nation, but democracy continues to decline there. Britain has police vehicles with facial recognition equipment that are parked wherever there is a concentration of people and search for those wanted for serious crimes. Hundreds of people have been arrested as a result. Peaceful demonstration has long been a vital part of British democracy. But now the government can decide what is allowed. Nearly a thousand people were recently arrested for demonstrating in support of an organization that the government had banned. A person can be prosecuted in Britain for a "thought crime", typically silent prayer at an abortion clinic. Does anyone remember the "Thought Police", in the novel "1984" about a future surveillance society? My native country once showed the world how to be a democracy, now it's showing it how to be a police state. I think it was the 2005 bombings in London that gradually turned the country in this more authoritarian direction.

America is also showing the world how to be a police state. ICE is like a dictator's personal police force and Donald Trump is sending the National Guard into cities against the will of the local government.

There were significant escalations in both wars this week. Israel attacked Qatar and Russian drones entered Poland. Ukraine was hit with the largest air attack of the war and the war in Gaza shows no sign of ending. The world really needs a great leader to step forward with a solution. 

We are in an era of assassination and we know that there will be an assassination attempt on the Antichrist, described in the Book of Revelation. The Antichrist will apparently be killed but will amaze the world by coming back to life. This week was the assassination of the Conservative activist in Utah and the beginning of the trial of the would-be assassin of Donald Trump.
