Doesn't anyone notice the historical factor in the meeting of the Munich Security Conference this week?
Europeans were dismayed by the position of the new Donald Trump administration that Europe is more on it's own against Russia and that the defense of Europe is no longer America's top priority. Donald Trump expects to meet with Vladimir Putin about ending the war, but Ukraine should not expect to get lost territory back and will not be admitted to NATO.
Donald Trump shocked the world this week by referring to Volodymyr Zelensky as a "dictator", and seeming to side with Putin.
The future of NATO (North Atlantic Treaty Organization) is in doubt if the defense of Europe is no longer America's top priority.
Volodymyr Zelensky announced that Europe must create an army of it's own, since it cannot depend on America anymore. The idea of pan-European forces is certainly not new, but there has never been a genuine European military force. The withdrawal of America into isolationism will inevitably prompt Europe to integrate more closely, including this European military, and the next logical step would be to come up with a leader of Europe.
Remember, in the Bible prophecies of the Last Days as explained in the posting "The End Of The World As We Know It" December 2024, the great leader of this time with all the answers will be from Europe. This will be the Antichrist and the Bible explains that his army, meaning that there will have to be a European army, will meet a vast army from the east in the final battle of Armageddon. By this point the first war of the Last Days, beginning with the attack on Israel from the North, will already be past.
But what I mean by the historical effect of the Munich Factor is that Munich is where British Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain met with Adolf Hitler, in 1938. Chamberlain was hoping for peace and returned to Britain with a document that Hitler had signed, promising that it meant "peace for our time".
The following image, from the Wikipedia article "Peace For Our Time", shows Chamberlain holding up the document at the airport and making the announcement.
What Chamberlain had agreed to, supposedly in return for peace, was for Hitler to take the borderland with Czechoslovakia, known as the Sudetenland, where many German-speaking people lived.
After the First World War, the Austro-Hungarian Empire had been dismantled. Austria and Hungary became separate countries. They hadn't been completely united but had been ruled by the same emperor. The remaining land in the north became the new nation of Czechoslovakia and the remaining land in the south became the new nation of Yugoslavia. But this left German-speakers, living in the Sudeten Mountains, in Czechoslovakia.
The agreement didn't produce peace. The following year, Chamberlain was forced to declare war. The year after that he was forced to resign over how the war was going.
Notice the amazing similarities between then and now. The situation regarding the border area of Ukraine, where Russian is widely spoken, is very much like the border area of Czechoslovakia, where German was widely spoken. Neville Chamberlain acquiesced to Hitler taking that, just as Donald Trump is agreeing to Vladimir Putin keeping the eastern part of Ukraine.
Couldn't this be purposely calculated to alarm Europe, as we saw in "Inducing The Apocalypse", December 2024? Donald Trump also shocked the world this week by how he criticized the President of Ukraine.
THE NEW CHRISTIAN RUSSIA
What about Russia? What is it's leadership really trying to do in Ukraine? Germany was a densely populated country and Hitler wanted more lebensraum, meaning "living space". But Russia has more land than it can possibly use. It is the geographically largest country with nearly twice as much land as the next largest country, Canada. Why would it sacrifice thousands of it's soldiers to increase it's land area by not even 1%?
In the following image, from the Wikipedia article "Russia", we see the land area of Russia in dark green and the area of Ukraine that it is going to all this trouble and sacrifice to gain in light green. At first glance it doesn't make sense. Russia already has an abundance of natural resources and oil.
Soviet aggression during the Cold War was about spreading Communism, not about gaining land. But Cold War Communism is long gone and Russia today has not espoused any such ideology.
What is very different about Russia today, since the Cold War, is religion. "Godless Communism" is gone. The leadership of Russia must realize that it was on the wrong side of God during the Cold War. Now that has completely changed and it's "Holy Russia", standing against the West that has fallen into decadence and apostasy.
In April 2024 it was declared that the Russian Orthodox Church considers the war in Ukraine as a holy war against the West. Since the End Of The World is going to happen anyway, Russia is sure that it will come out ahead of the West.
The Communists, when led by Josef Stalin, had dynamited the Cathedral of Christ the Savior, in Moscow. It was rebuilt after the end of Communism. The following two images are from Google Street View.
Can you believe that Stalin wanted to dynamite the nearby St. Basil's Cathedral? The following two images are from Google Street View.
