The U.S. Government has released UFO files. I do not believe in alien beings but they are useful as a literary device. All of the movies about aliens have them coming to earth and interacting with humans.
But how do we know that they would consider humans as the predominant form of life on earth? They might recognize ants as the predominant form of life on earth and consider humans as an over-intelligent fluke that wasn't likely to be around for long. They might recognize humans as being so intelligent that not only can we destroy the planet but we can destroy ourselves by pressing a few buttons.
Maybe they would consider life in the sea to be the most important and life on land to be a sideshow.
When they did look at humans they might not consider us as individuals but as humanity being a living thing as a whole and each person as a cell in that whole.
They might sympathize with the earth itself and consider humans as an infection. They might think that other forms of life are beneficial to the earth, such as breaking down molecules of carbon dioxide and creating limestone, but humans are a destructive infection.
If they looked at the recent history of humans they would take note of global warming and the "Animal Apocalypse". There are only about a third of the animals alive in the wild that there were fifty years ago. How horrified might they be at the wealth gap among humans? A very few people are wealthy beyond belief. About a quarter of humans are doing relatively well but the rest of humanity is barely surviving.
So much about humans likely just wouldn't make any sense. We are obsessed with gold but gold isn't even a particularly useful metal. Iron is far more useful than gold but it isn't valuable because it is so common. We are also obsessed with lions, even places far away from the habitat of lions have them as logos and symbols. We put so much value on rare stones that aren't actually useful for anything.
They might be baffled as to why we divide ourselves into nations and kill endless millions of each other over it. Humans made great progress in science and technology but then they used it to create nuclear missiles that the two sides of the world were ready to launch at each other because they organized their economies differently. The aliens might consider the Cold War as absurd beyond comprehension.
They might not understand how dogs are the closest creature to humans and have long been "man's best friend". But we choose wild predators that would have us for dinner if they had the chance and no nation has ever chosen a faithful dog as it's national symbol.
We so often put stars on flags and as national symbols but stars are spherical in form, as we can see the sun is. There are no "points" on stars. The points that we may see on stars are just an optical illusion.
They might notice what we saw in "Checklist For The Next Revolution".

This is similar to what we saw in "Cultural Perspective" but it would apply to the whole world.
