Aerial Views Of St. Petersburg

Here are some aerial views of central St. Petersburg. The city is similar to Scandinavia in that it is not fond of skyscrapers.

ALL IMAGES ARE FROM GOOGLE STREET VIEW

These two images show the Alexander Column in front of the Winter Palace. The Alexander Column, in Palace Square, is in memory of Tsar Alexander I, who is credited with victory over Napoleon.

The golden dome just above the center of this image is that of St. Isaac's Cathedral.

Here is a closer look at St. Isaac's Cathedral.

The Peter and Paul Fortress is at the top of this image, along the water.

The building in the center background of this image is the Mikhailovsky Palace, which is now a museum.

These are general aerial views of central St. Petersburg.
