Why would Donald Trump threaten to rename Lake Ontario? Remember that symbolism is a very powerful force and affects what happens even if we are not aware of it. We saw this in the posting "The Power Of Symbolism", March 2024.
The Flag of Ontario, image from the Wikipedia article by that name, has the Cross of St. George. St. George was the dragon slayer. The Cross of St. George is actually on the flag twice since it's also part of the British flag.
For Ontario to be the Province of the Dragon-Slayer, a dragon is necessary. This symbolism is such a powerful force that Donald Trump got pulled into the role of the dragon.
