Remember the principle that I pointed out called "The Cardinal Rule Of Military Strategy". This rule is that, whenever a nation has won a great military victory, it cannot help but try to repeat the victory in future combat.
Remember that the great victory of Persia over Babylon in ancient times was accomplished by damming the Euphrates River. The city of Babylon was walled, with the river running through it. While a drunken royal party was going on in the city, the Persians partially dammed the river and their warriors were able to get inside the city on the riverbed.
This victory was reenacted in 1979 in the seizure of the U.S. Embassy, which was the beginning of the Hostage Crisis. The embassy compound was walled and this provided the opportunity for reenactment by getting inside the walls.
The blockade of the Strait of Hormuz and the corresponding strait on the other side of the Arabian Peninsula, by the Houthis, is a reenactment of the damming of the Euphrates River. Although it is ships that are blocked, rather than water.
For a modern reenactment of this ancient battle from the Babylon side see the posting "The Sheet Theory Of History", February 2025, the section "Babylon Strikes Back".
Israel conducts precision strikes to kill enemy leaders. It has had multiple successes, including the Supreme Leader of Iran. This is very much a reenactment of the battle between David and Goliath, in the Bible, where David brought down Goliath with a well-placed stone from a sling.
There was a standoff in my local area, by an armed man in a house. The Siege of the Alamo is an important part of American history and these periodic standoffs are a reenactment of it.
