Notice About Today's Postings

The recent fall of Kabul to the Taliban has been repeatedly compared to the Fall of Saigon, in America's War in Vietnam. In my early teens I watched the Fall of Saigon live on the news. The two events are indeed remarkably similar, except that people are being evacuated from Kabul Airport by planes whereas they were being evacuated from the roof of the U.S. Embassy in Saigon by helicopter.

There was exactly the same "all is lost" tone as there is about Afghanistan now. Our weekly visit is to Vietnam today to show that all was not lost. Vietnam today is a modern country and an ally of the U.S. and the west.

The fact is that the Taliban is going to be ruling Afghanistan. What is the point in all of this negativity? This is mostly a new generation of the Taliban. We could call it Taliban, version 2.0. They sound like they are trying to be reasonable with us.

But this sudden withdrawal of U.S. forces from Afghanistan fits very well with what we saw in the section, 41) U.S. PRESIDENTS AND THE APOCALYPSE, in the compound posting "Investigations", December 2018.

Does anyone remember the evacuation of Indians from Kuwait in 1990? There were many thousands of people from India working in Kuwait when the forces of Saddam Hussein invaded it. Led by Air India nearly two hundred thousand people were brought safely back to India. But the Iraqis allowed the evacuation and some were taken out through Iraq.

Angela Merkel has been a very positive and stabilizing force and I am a little bit concerned about Europe now that she will soon be gone.

The two scientific postings today, "Electrons And Elevations On Earth" and "The Great Red Spot Of Jupiter" are about the same subject, the flow of information from the lowest levels of matter to the highest levels. This is described in the compound posting, "The Flow Of Information Through The Universe", January 2016. But I no longer consider that as a separate theory, even though it is still a separate compound posting on this blog. I now consider this theory as part of "The Lowest Information Point", December 2017.
